Product Description
Orbiscal-SP is a high-performance, acidic solar panel cleaner specially formulated to dissolve and remove heavy mineral deposits, cement residue, silica, and asbestos particulates from photovoltaic surfaces. Designed for professional maintenance of solar arrays, Orbiscal-SP achieves rapid cleaning action with minimal physical effort, restoring panels to optimal light transmission and energy efficiency.
-
Acidic Formulation: The low-pH formula penetrates and breaks down stubborn scale, cementitious crust, and silica buildup without scratching or dulling glass surfaces.
-
Dilution Flexibility: Can be diluted 1:5 (20 % concentrate) for moderate deposits or 1:10 (10 % concentrate) for lighter soiling, offering both cost-efficiency and customizable cleaning strength.
-
Asbestos & Silica Removal: Effectively dissolves fine particulate layers of asbestos and silica embedded in crevices, reducing airborne dust and ensuring safer cleanup.
-
Safe on Solar Modules: Corrosion-inhibited to protect aluminum frames, junction boxes, and tempered glass. Non-foaming to prevent residue that can block cells.
-
Eco-Responsible: Biodegradable surfactants and phosphate-free buffering agents reduce environmental impact. Rinse-residue is neutralized on contact with rinse water, minimizing downstream pH changes.
-
Professional Grade: Ideal for solar farms, rooftop installations, and large-scale PV arrays. Compatible with power washers, mechanical brushes, or simple spray-and-wipe methods.
Regular use of Orbiscal-SP prevents performance degradation due to scaling and cement dust accumulation, helping maintain peak energy output and extending panel lifespan.
User Guide
-
Safety Precautions
-
Wear chemical-resistant gloves, goggles, and protective clothing.
-
Use in a well-ventilated outdoor area. Avoid breathing vapor; do not inhale spray mist.
-
Keep away from skin and eyes. In case of contact, rinse immediately with plenty of water and seek medical advice if irritation persists.
-
Store in a cool, dry place away from ignition sources.
-
-
Preparation & Dilution
-
Determine the level of soiling:
-
Heavy deposits (cement, thick scale, asbestos residue): Dilute 1 part Orbiscal-SP with 5 parts clean water (ratio 1:5).
-
Moderate to light deposits (surface dust, thin silica layers): Dilute 1 part Orbiscal-SP with 10 parts clean water (ratio 1:10).
-
-
Fill a clean plastic or stainless-steel sprayer or bucket with the correct volume of water. Add measured Orbiscal-SP concentrate and stir gently until fully mixed.
-
Always add the cleaner to the water, not vice versa, to prevent localized acid concentration.
-
-
Application
-
Pre-wet the solar panel surface with clear water to loosen dry dust.
-
Apply the diluted Orbiscal-SP solution evenly using a low-pressure sprayer or soft brush. Do not use high-pressure jets directly on panel glass, as that can force contaminants under seals.
-
Allow the solution to dwell for 3–5 minutes, but do not let it dry on the glass. For very stubborn spots (cement splatter, thick scale), gently agitate with a soft-bristle brush or microfiber pad.
-
Scrub lightly in circular motions over problem areas until deposits soften. Avoid aggressive scrubbing that could scratch tempered glass.
-
-
Rinsing
-
Thoroughly rinse each panel with clean water from top to bottom, ensuring all acidic residues are removed.
-
Confirm that no visible foam or streaks remain—acidic residue can etch glass if left too long.
-
-
Post-Cleaning Inspection
-
Visually inspect panels for remaining spots. Repeat steps 2–4 on any remaining soiled areas using a slightly stronger dilution if needed (e.g., adjust from 1:10 to 1:7).
-
Check seals and frame edges to ensure no residual cleaner has pooled.
-
-
Waste Disposal
-
Collected rinse water may contain dissolved minerals, cement, or asbestos particulates.
-
Allow solids to settle in a holding tank or container. Filter or decant clear water for discharge according to local regulations. Dispose of settled solids as non-hazardous construction waste (verify with local guidelines for asbestos content).
-
-
Storage & Shelf Life
-
Keep container tightly closed when not in use.
-
Shelf life is 12 months when stored at temperatures between 5 °C and 30 °C. Protect from freezing.
-
Label clearly: “Corrosive. Handle with care.”
